What time did you wake up this morning?
5am. Every morning starts at 5 am: Gym, shower, breakfast, work.
What’s your favourite object in your office?
Coffee machine.
Who is your closest colleague?
My boss, Paul Shannon.
Do you have a favourite family heirloom?
Champagne flutes from my grandma’s wedding.
What’s your favourite song of all time?
Killing Me Softly by Lauren Hill. I’ve been a fan since I was a kid.
What’s your favourite play?
It must be Macbeth. Take control of your own life by thriving to succeed whilst being patient and taking time to make informed decisions.
Who’s your favourite movie star?
Every film with Denzel Washington is a great film!
What’s your favourite book?
A Time to Kill by John Grisham.
What book are you reading right now?
I’ve just finished reading Big Magic.
What book do you wish you had written?
I’ve never wished that I written someone else’s book, but I would love to find inspiration to write a legal thriller one day.
What’s the greatest invention of all time?
Planes. I love travelling and it is so quick and easy to visit places nowadays.
Is there a sport that you wish you could play?
I’d love to do gymnastics.
Who inspires you in business?
My mother is a businesswoman and is running her own company. She’s taught me how to be independent, driven, tough and kind to others. Most importantly she taught be how to juggle my career and personal life and thrive to succeed in both.
Dress up, dress down or somewhere in between?
I would say dress up. I like looking smart and professional during work hours and I love to dress up for an evening out with my friends.
Where do you go to relax?
The gym; whether it’s a tough workout or a quick and relaxing sauna. I also like going to yoga and meditation in the gym next to my office.
What country have you always wanted to visit?
I’ve always wanted to go to Jordan. There’s something about this place that makes me really want to experience it.
Besides your phone, what do you always have with you?
My bank card!
What’s the best part about your job?
Variety and creativity. I learn every day by working on many legal/commercial issues. Every day is different and that exposes me to different areas of the law. Being part of the top management team - and spending a lot of time on not just legal but also wider business issues - allows me to view the company from different angles. That teaches me to take risks but - most importantly - it allows me to learn from the successful business people who I work with; not only the executives in my company but also our customers and suppliers.
What’s your favourite post-work tipple?
Large glass of white wine spritzer!
Finally, what’s your guilty pleasure?
Relaxing on my sofa with a box of chocolates watching TV box sets!
