What time did you wake up this morning?
4 a.m. then 5.15 a.m.
What’s your favourite object in your office?
The PG Tips tea bag box!
Who is your closest colleague?
Well, two of my daughters work with me so I had better say them! However, I hope that I am close to most of my colleagues as we have a great collegiate team at Moon Beever.
Do you have a favourite family heirloom?
A very ornate clock which, legend has it, some distant relative of my mother’s brought over from France in the Revolution. I doubt that’s true but the legend is worth keeping alive.
What’s your favourite song of all time?
Anything I can dance to! It’s hard to say but Nile Rogers is fab and I love Crazy Horses by The Osmonds... now that is a go wild on the dance floor song!
What’s your favourite play?
Abigail’s Party. Although, I do love People by Alan Bennett and recently I saw The Ferryman by Jez Butterworth.
Who’s your favourite movie star?
Colin Firth.
What’s your favourite book?
The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgkinson Burnett.
What book are you reading right now?
Tombland - the seventh novel in the Shardlake series by C J Sansom.
What book do you wish you had written?
On Chesil Beach by Ian McEwan.
What’s the greatest invention of all time?
Spectacles.
Is there a sport that you wish you could play?
I wish I was better at the ones that I do play which is mainly riding and hockey ... old bones permitting.
Who inspires you in business?
My late dad. He was also a solicitor and he taught me to be ethical and professional above all else.
Dress up, dress down or somewhere in between?
My wardrobe is made up of work clothes, jodhpurs, gym wear and evening wear. I struggle with anything in between and “smart casual” is awful.
Where do you go to relax?
Riding my horse, walking the dogs, playing hockey, travelling and partying with friends and family, or on that dance-floor! As you can tell, I find relaxation trying.
What country have you always wanted to visit?
I have travelled a lot already - and home is most definitely best - but I’d like to see Costa Rica.
Besides your phone, what do you always have with you?
Anxiety!
What’s the best part about your job?
I say what everyone at Moon Beever always says - because it is true: the people.
What’s your favourite post-work tipple?
Beer or champagne.
