Why lawyers love Manchester…

I feel very lucky to have adopted Manchester as my home city. I have been here for nearly 15 years and would not live anywhere else in England! The changes in the city centre during these years alone have been incredible, for example the extended tram system and the amazing array of bars and restaurants on offer. For a young professional I challenge you to find a better city! As a trainee solicitor in Manchester you can actually afford to go to the coolest bars or eat at the most popular restaurants, making Manchester much more inclusive for a junior lawyer starting out in their career. 

There is a drinking hole for everyone, whatever your preference as to surroundings and drink choice. We have an incredible array of whisky bars, gin joints and craft beer houses, and many districts to visit including Spinningfields which is where many of the national law firms are based and the Northern Quarter which has amazing pop ups to try.

Networking events on offer genuinely allow young professionals to meet people from their own career discipline in addition to other professionals. The Manchester Trainee Solicitors Group hosted a great event last night in conjunction with BCL Legal at a fantastic new venue called Arcane, that I had never been to before but will definitely be going back! http://arcanebar.com/
