What did in-house lawyers get paid in the regions in 2011?

Over 350 in-house lawyers from Northampton up to Newcastle responded to our most recent salary survey. The full results per region (NW, Yorkshire and The Midlands) can be found at https://www.bcllegal.com/salary-surveys .

Here is a bit of an over view. Across the regions in 2011 over 75% of in-house lawyers received a bonus. Taking the 3 regions that we surveyed in to account: The average bonus as a % of salary for Solicitor’s between NQ and 5 year’s PQE was 10% The average bonus as a % of salary for Solicitor’s between 6 and 12 year’s PQE was 14% The average bonus as a % of salary for Solicitor’s with 13 year’s PQE +  was 23%

In addition, compared to last year: 60% of the recipients saw an overall increase in their total package 30% of the recipients saw their package stay the same 10% of the recipients saw their package decrease

So it’s good to see that in-house lawyers are being remunerated for the hard work that they put in and that salaries for most are on the up!
