Transition to legal recruitment

I started at BCL Legal in September 2014 and I must admit this has been the best decision I have made for a long time as far as job opportunities are concerned. I have been given the support and guidance needed for me to succeed. I first started here as a Database Administrator working as part of a team keeping the database updated and fresh, I found this job satisfying and it was a great way of keeping up-to-date with what was happening in the legal world.

After four months I have now changed jobs working as a Team Administrator covering maternity leave. This was like starting a new job all over again, being trained from scratch but I can honestly say I have learnt so much since being in this role, even though I have worked as a Team Administrator and worked in recruitment before, I've never worked in legal recruitment so this has been a great learning curve. This maternity cover will last until June and then who knows what doors of opportunities will open after that.

My role at BCL Legal is very rewarding and by way of your appreciation you get taken out to lunch in very swanky restaurants and all expenses paid city break to places like Barcelona. I haven’t been as happy in a job like I am here for a very long time, I never get those Sunday night blues like a lot of people do.

Over the years I have learnt never to be afraid of trying new things, it maybe a bit daunting at first but if you don’t try you’ll never know and you may lose out on the best job opportunity you’re ever going to have. This just shows that there are opportunities here and everywhere if you just take the plunge.
