The Yorkshire Legal Awards: putting Leeds firmly on the legal map

The shortlist for the Yorkshire Legal Awards has recently been announced. Held in New Dock Hall, Leeds on 16th October 2014, some of Yorkshire’s most talented individuals and law firms will be in attendance with the aim of picking up one of the regions most coveted awards. 400 legal professionals from across the region will enjoy an evening of celebration and networking.

The three categories of Law Firm award range from 1-10 Partners, 11-30 Partners and 31 + Partners and host a selection of recognised regional and national firms. The awards see new entrants like Gatelely LLP compete against longer standing Yorkshire practice Emsleys and international powerhouse DLA Piper against rival Pinsent Masons.

The event awards law firms across a range of practice areas from family through to corporate and commercial. Categories are judged by a prestigious panel from the Yorkshire legal community, all of whom are recognised names. The reputation, the attendance and the prominence of the awards puts Leeds firmly on the map as one of the leading legal communities outside of London. The opportunities for aspiring lawyers and indeed qualified legal professionals in Leeds are plentiful.
