The stamp duty deadline and the conveyancing market...
With the stamp duty deadline here it’s an interesting to understand how conveyancers have been affected over the last 12-18 months and what different experiences people have had.
I have spoken with various candidates, some who have said that they now actually want to leave conveyancing, some who are quite happy at their work place as they have felt supported and some who have decided it’s time for a change of firm.
What are your thoughts and where are you at? If you do wish to leave the sector, I would have a really good think about why - Is it that you have really fallen out of love with what you know or perhaps is it the environment that you are in and would a change make things better? ...If it is the latter, we can help even if you aren't 100% sure and just want to have a chat with us to see what other opportunities are out there. Sometimes just by speaking to us, it really makes you think and in turn makes you able to make a more informed decision on the market and where your future is going. I can’t tell you how many people I have spoken with who have said that and are really grateful even just a 10 minute chat to talk things through in these uncertain times.
No one really knows what the property market will look like over the next 6 months but, it doesn’t seem to be slowing down and house prices are still rising the question is for conveyancers - will things change and will things get better.
My advice, if you are unsure feeling a little unsettled don’t leave it too late, feel free to ring and see what is out there as you never know, we might have something just for you.
