The return of Corporate Solicitors

In BCL Legal’s offices both Birmingham and Manchester we have noticed a staggering rise in corporate positions. A number of the large international, national and regional practices are now recruiting for qualified solicitors with corporate experience to join their teams. There are opportunities at various levels of PQE to undertake work for clients across a broad range of sectors.

So where have these opportunities come from? Nobody seems to be able to provide me with a complete answer to this question. It seems some business owners are ready to sell, having ridden out the worst of the recession. Those with cash seem more confident to invest. In some cases banks even seem prepared to lend.

After many years with very little activity in the corporate market we are enjoying being able to contact people with such a plethora of options. This seems like the same kind of revival as we saw in commercial property last year and we are expecting that there will be options for individuals to make fantastic career moves.
