Restrictions are over and masks are no longer compulsory - the only way is up.
I have to say - recently it has felt odd socialising, especially after so long spent in the deep depths of lockdown. I went to a wedding at the weekend with over 120 people and wow, that felt very strange - great to see everyone but, still dare I say, not the 'norm'.
In relation to returning to our office, BCL's plan is to return in a few months, with a mix of both home and office working, which I think will be great.
It seems most people would like a mix, or others have got so used to home working that they actually don’t really want to return to the office at all, or if they do, they want it to be on their terms, with additional flexibility in place.
Speaking to conveyancers, it seems that most firms are at the moment are implementing a hybrid model of home working VS office, but, the plan is to return to an office setting fully in the future - and some employees are not happy about it. Perhaps they feel that they have a better work/life balance at home, or just get more work done as they can focus better, hence are ultimately more productive.
If this is you and you have been asked to go back into the office full time in the near future, how are you feeling?
If you're anxious and feeling unsettled about it, don’t hesitate to get in touch. At BCL we have lots of different opportunities in conveyancing and one client in particular which is offering full remote working for the right individual.
The last 18 months has proved that it can be done and we can be just as productive at home (if not more so), so why not continue to offer this in part? ...Especially if it keeps your work force happy.
If you would like some further details on the conveyancing market and current expectations from firms, then please get in touch with me as soon as possible.
