The Manchester Trainee Solicitors Group celebrate Christmas in style at the Palace Hotel

As the Christmas lights were glowing across Manchester and markets bustling with shoppers enjoying hot Gluhwein, staff at the Palace Hotel were preparing once again for the arrival of over 300 Trainee Solicitors, colleagues and guests for the MTSG Winter Ball.

This annual event has long been held at the Palace Hotel, and is the biggest social event of the MTSG calendar. This year, proudly sponsored by BCL Legal, the event had been eagerly awaited since the new MTSG committee was elected in August.

Once Jenny Goodrich (Pinsent Masons), Abby Lowther (Pannone) and Sara Critchlow (Heatons) had been appointed as the Ball representatives for 2012/2013, preparations commenced and all their hard work was rewarded on the night of Thursday 6th December.

Trainees and Solicitors arrived in high numbers looking as glamorous as ever to enjoy a night to remember. With a Rat Pack theme and funky band to provide the entertainment, the atmosphere was buzzing and dance floor packed until 2am when the Palace closed it’s doors for another year.

But, the night was certainly not over. This year the MTSG committee thought one step ahead. As the Palace emptied the night was not over yet…Trainee Solicitors and colleagues alike moved across Oxford Road to an after party at the Black Dog until 6am!

MTSG members this year sure do know how to party, and certainly celebrated Christmas in style. At least they did so knowing that a special treat was available the next morning in the form of a well needed breakfast courtesy of BCL Legal.

A fantastic night was had by all, and special thanks should be given to the Palace Hotel and Ball representatives Jenny, Abby and Sara for organising a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
