BCL Legal handles opportunities across the North West, yes we have plenty of roles for our Manchester fans but opportunities in neighbouring cities Preston, Liverpool and Chester are plentiful.

Chester and Liverpool indeed is an ever evolving legal hub attracting new firms and seeing increased investment for those already on the ground. Just this month Chester heavyweight DTM Legal opens its doors in Liverpool amidst promises to create 20 new jobs for both experienced and aspiring lawyers. Riverview on the Wirral announces impressive FTSE wins prompting ambitious growth plans and a projected 80 new jobs. Hampson Hughes continues its march into commercial and private client areas with a move to a smart office in Albert Dock signalling its intention to grow. Finally Knights takes over the Hill Dickinson Chester office; you can be sure that its entrepreneurial focus lead by Managing Partner David Beech will be a great success and cement its future in the City.

All in all it’s going to be a busy 12 months!! With change comes opportunity and if you’re a lawyer looking for a change or the chance to be involved in something different then I’m sure that we will have an opportunity to suit your aspirations. Firms are hiring at a various levels (from paralegal to partner), though there is particular opportunity for entrepreneurial lawyers with a portable client base. With news about the economy remaining positive confidence is up and as such firms are once again investing in new talent to shape departments over the coming years.
