Residential Property Locums

Each year BCL Legal places numerous locum lawyers within the residential conveyancing market. As the housing market intensifies as the days get longer so too do our instructions from our law firm clients.

We operate nationally and service the needs of law firms big and small; from the City of London to the high street in Newcastle, no firm is too small or instruction too short.

Assignments range from a week’s holiday cover to several months and depending on duration we either supply candidates on an hourly rate “temp” basis or on a fixed term contract basis where costs are fixed.

The candidates we register at BCL Legal are “career” locums who work exclusively as interim lawyers, often in a nomadic way, travelling the length and breadth of the country following the work. The majority of our candidates are former heads of departments or partners who have gained significant experience and now seek to work as lawyers without the pressures of being a permanent role. We do register less qualified lawyers but the majority will be more than 10 years qualified.

All candidates are rigorously vetted with employer references taken and right to work status verified. Whenever possible we seek to place locums whom have worked through BCL Legal in the past and we have received positive references in respect of their previous work.
