New Year New Start!

As my first week at BCL Legal draws to a close, I feel that things have gone as well as I could have hoped and I am beginning to find my way around their IT system! I am sure that I am not the only person coming to the end of their first week in a new job and, as people head into January and decide that 2015 is the year to actually see their New Year Resolution through and secure that dream position, we could well be the start of many!

Therefore I am in the perfect position to understand your trepidation of looking for a new job and in taking that leap of faith in starting with a new employer. Talking from experience, it is nowhere near as daunting as you think it will be and, once happily settled in your new role, you will find yourself wondering why didn’t I have the courage to do this sooner?!

It might be better quality of work that you are after, perhaps you have hit that proverbial glass ceiling, or maybe it is more client contact and business development opportunities that would make everything perfect for you workwise in 2015? – whatever it is, procrastinating over it is not going to progress your career any time soon and you will never know what opportunities are out there for you if you do not make an effort.

It doesn’t have to be a huge effort either, just picking up the phone to someone who has gone through exactly the same experience very recently is all it takes to make sure that 2015 is the year you got your career back on track.
