Leeds Legal Sector Continues to Impress – Is now the right time to look for a move?

Leeds Legal sector has recently been announced as the fastest growing sector in the UK and with so many new entrants into the market and the majority of settled firms looking to expand, is now the right time to look for a new role?

In simple terms, YES!! The market has never been better in Leeds for growth and with an increase in the number of firms entering the market such as Shoosmiths, Hill Dickinson, Devonshires etc these firms are all looking to take advantage of the buoyant legal market and as such are all on massive recruitment drives. This has led to a number of already well established firms to react and expand in order to secure their status a big firm in Leeds. Expansion from both sides (new entrants and existing firms) has brought a great range of opportunities from all levels of PQE to the market.

With the economic output of Leeds’s law firms expected to top £300m this year and with firms competing to take the biggest share of the £300 million as possible, they have all seen the great potential in the Leeds market. Expansion is on the rise and candidates are taking the opportunity to move from regionals to nationals and vice versa. Seeing the potential early on what the vibrant Leeds market has to offer has benefitted a number of candidates I have been working with in the past 12 months with candidates being able to move to firms that previously thought weren’t possible.
