Holidays Are Coming

It’s nearly October where has the year gone; does anyone else feel like the year has flown by? Working in recruitment you are working in a fast paced environment which makes the year go even faster. In the conveyancing market there seems to be certain trends that appear in the market depending on the time of year. Over the last few years since working in legal recruitment I’ve noticed that September seems to be a really busy month as everyone has had their summer holiday, clients are back and things just move that bit quicker than they did in August. For me this is great the market really picks up and there are more candidates to speak to however, for a candidate that means more competition.

Think about this, we are 3 months away from Christmas and again people go on holiday firms’ close and things start to slow down. So if you are thinking of making that next move and think I’ll wait until then don’t, because it might not move as fast as you’d like. Beat the New Year rush and start looking now even if it does seem far away it will be December before you know it. Even if you’d just like to test the water and discuss your options on a confidential basis of course we can help. It really is a good time to be looking there are lots of leading firms across Yorkshire and the North East that would like to secure good quality candidates before Christmas.
