Dedicated to all you residential property lawyers out there!
As a manager of the only dedicated team of consultants specialising solely in residential property recruitment across the Midlands and South, I can confidently say we are experts in our field and are being instructed daily with new roles, some offering a step into management as well as straight forward fee earning.
As it’s Chinese New Year tomorrow, it would appear to be the year of the residential property lawyer!! The job market being so buoyant across all levels of experience, it is the perfect time to look for a new role but with so much choice it is really important to take the time to consider what you are wanting from this next move.
Commonly people look for a new job as they want a higher salary, promotion or better quality of work. Initially it would be worth talking to your Manager/Head of Department about these particularly if there are no major problems in your current job. If you are still committed to leaving, we are here to lead you through the recruitment process and have an abundance of roles for you to consider. Once you have a job offer in hand, think about the counter-offer. Don’t be swayed by false promises or an increase in salary that had previously been veto’d. The fundamental problems will still be there once the novelty of the extra cash has worn off. We also advise to see the interview process through and not take the first role offered but just be aware of timescales, a bird in hand and all that but trust your instincts! Again, a good consultant will be able to manage this for you.
