Conveyancing Boom

2014 is shaping up to be another promising and strong year for property solicitors. We have seen an increasing number of instructions from clients who are looking for property solicitors and conveyancing executives for a permanent or temporary hire.

The strongest demand is coming from high street practices across the country. These firms are looking for experienced residential property solicitors and executives, to strengthen their teams and deal with the increase in instructions.

Commercial firms are also looking to strengthen their Real Estate teams and it appears that most are looking to hire associates at the 1-3 pqe mark.

In the City we have seen an increase in the number of instructions coming through form US firms who are seeking experienced real estate lawyers on a temporary basis to deal with an increase in work, in particular on the development side.

Candidates are getting increasingly harder to source and professional career locums are getting booked up well in advance for the rest of the year. The market is much brighter and recovery is well under way. We appear to be back in the boom
