Chinese New Year

I manage a team of consultants who specialise solely in residential property recruitment across the East and West Midlands. We’re instructed on new roles on a daily basis, some offering a step into management as well as straight forward fee earning. In an increasingly competitive market, and with experienced qualified conveyancers in such short supply, we are constantly highlighting to our clients the virtues of ‘thinking outside the box’. Whilst you may ‘want’ a qualified lawyer (and by that I mean a solicitor, legal executive or licensed conveyancer), an experienced paralegal or fee earner who is used to running their own caseload should be of equal interest.

These lawyers are normally highly skilled in all aspects of residential property and can often hit the ground running and start generating fees from day one. Our advice to firms looking to recruit property lawyers is to be as flexible as possible and to think outside the box with a greater emphasis being placed on skills and experience rather than qualification.

With Chinese New Year next week, it would appear to be the year of the residential property lawyer as well as the monkey!! It is said that people born in the year of the monkey are versatile, quick witted, smart and intelligent, especially in their career and wealth! All key attributes needed in a conveyancer! The job market being so buoyant across all levels of experience, it is the perfect time to look for a new role but with so much choice it is really important to take the time to consider what you are wanting from this next move.
