BCL Legal Sponsors the Leeds JLD Summer Ball

On the 7th June BCL Legal is proud to be sponsoring the Leeds JLD Summer Ball This year, we are excited to announce the theme is the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party where we will step through the looking glass to drink tea, converse with caterpillars, and partake in merrymaking with the March Hare. The Summer Ball is one of the most exciting events of the year in the JLD calendar and we are looking forward to celebrating the summer in style.

The Summer Ball marks the end of an era for many trainees who are ready to take their first step into their role as a Qualified Solicitor. If you haven’t had your NQ role confirmed beyond August then now is the time to get the ball rolling. This can often be a frustrating time, waiting to find out if you are going to be retained and all too often it’s the last minute before you’re told one way or the other. The truth is, NQ roles will start coming through in earnest at the beginning of the summer, some are coming through already, and you need to be ahead of the competition and assess all of your options.

The good news is that the legal jobs market market is really positive in Leeds & Yorkshire, particularly within commercial property, corporate, commercial and other non contentious disciplines. Litigation is always a good call, and we have been busy in litigious areas such as property litigation, insurance and finance litigation.
