BCL Legal proud to be working with the Birmingham Trainee Solicitor Society for 2013 - 2014

Working with the Birmingham Trainee Solicitor Society...

The Birmingham office of BCL Legal are proud to continue their relationship with the Birmingham Trainee Solicitor Society (BTSS) with a couple of events already organised for September. We have already this month sponsored a “Reps Night” where the newly elected committee members and the representatives from each firm got together as part of a meet and great and to discuss forthcoming events.

BCL Legal are also sponsoring the BTSS pub crawl in September, this is a wider invite to all Birmingham based trainee solicitors to get together to network and share experiences.

BCL Legal are committed to assisting the BTSS with their activities over 2013-2014 and will be on hand to help provide advice and assistance to trainees in both their first and second years. Future plans include a newly qualified solicitor seminar in March 2014 as well as a few more social events. The aim of the seminar is to provide advice and guidance to trainees most likely in their second year or final seat who are contemplating internal vacancies lists and external opportunities. We offer guidance on how to write an NQ CV, interview techniques and typical questions, and how to manage multiple applications and (hopefully) offers.

With a healthy amount of newly qualified recruitment happening throughout the summer of 2013 we at BCL Legal feel there is a bright future for Birmingham’s trainees and we are proud to be a part of their journey.
