2013 LFS Conveyancing Conference & Awards
BCL Legal is proud to be sponsoring the 2013 LFS Conveyancing Conference and Awards on Thursday 26th September 2013. We have a dedicated residential property department that solely recruits across conveyancing to include conveyancing assistant through to Partners nationally, so like many of our clients – this really is the event of the year!
LFS has been running this event for the past 5 years and has witnessed a growth in attendance year on year with many of the biggest conveyancing practices attending.
During the day LFS holds a conference. This year the conference is focussing on “How Law Firms interact with the Consumer ( or as we like to say “our Client”)”. This conference not only offers attendees 5 hours of SRA or CLC CPD points, it also offers them the chance to hear from some of the most influential speakers within residential property such as Peter Rodd; Law Society Council Member & Chair of the Property Section, Nick Larkins; Lloyds Banking Group and Sheila Kumar; CLC.
Last year Stephensons managed to scoop most of the awards and we are very excited to see if they maintain their success this year . With all the changes that have occurred over the last year and the increase in instructions nationally, this year will surely see many new firms rewarded. There will be awards awarded for Regional Conveyancing Firm of the year; North West, North East, West Midlands, East Midlands, South West and South East, Best Direct Conveyancing Firm, Best Young Conveyancer, Best Website & Marketing, Best Use of Social Media and Estate Agents Conveyancing Firm of the Year. The fact that LFS is offering Estate Agents the chance to promote and vote for their favoured conveyancing firm demonstrates the important in offering a quality service within the residential property field.
BCL has seen an increase in instructions across all levels nationally. Over the past 3 months, we have witnessed the volume firms grow in order to gain market share with the medium sized firms growing faster in order to compete and retain work. Salaries are becoming more competitive and more assistants and fee earners are looking for a new role. Many of our clients are able to offer progression, development, training and the elusive “training contract” to individuals that demonstrate a commitment to property.
