Group Head of Compliance

THE BUSINESS Our client is one of the largest transport services organisations in Europe, employing some 55,500 people and delivering more than 2 billion passenger journeys across Europe. It is an exciting to join the organisation as new ownership is driving huge investment across multiple territories. A vacancy has arisen to lead their established Group Compliance function during this exciting period THE ROLE As Head of Group Compliance you would lead a team and have functional responsibility for matters across the entire group. You would lead, motivate and create the right global environment for strong legal, compliance and risk management, and high-performance levels within the immediate and extended teams across the business. The remit is wide and you would lead on the Group's key compliance risks across corporate compliance across anti-bribery and corruption, fraud, human rights, data protection, competition, corporate criminal offence, environment and health and safety. ABOUT YOU You will be a seasoned compliance professional, from a legal, audit or risk background, with extensive relevant experience of working in an organization with an international compliance footprint. You'll need excellent stakeholder management, and have a broad understanding and experience of in house legal and compliance. Offering a hybrid working model, you'll be based at their head office in Sunderland for a couple of days a week, and working from home the rest of the week.
