An AM Law top 100 firm is looking for a Real Estate Knowledge Management Attorney to assist in delivering key pieces of work for it's thriving real estate group. Over recent months, the practice has become increasingly busy, meaning there is a wide range of interesting projects for the Knowledge management Attorney to work on.
This part-time position (28 hours per week) is ideal for someone who wants to continue working with a top firm, but wants to take a step back from the long hours and high pressure that comes with being a New York real estate attorney.
The key responsibilities for this role are:
* Tracking and analyzing changes in laws and regulations and other relevant information to the Real Estate Practice.
* Creating and maintaining knowledge management resources including drafting and updating templates, collecting and
curating precedents for real estate agreements and frequently used legal documents, and developing practice guides
and checklists and sharing such resources with the Real Estate Practice Group.
* Updating and collating information relating to the real estate market.
* Research and drafting client alerts and articles.
* Supporting the training function, including preparing training materials, for both legal matters and resource training.
* Participating in testing, assessment, implementation, training and building awareness around new research and legal
tech tools to elevate lawyer efficiency.
* Serving as the principal practice group resource for large firm initiatives such as the Document Management System, Intranet and more.
* Working with Knowledge Management Attorneys across the firm to share ideas and collaborate on firm projects.
Assisting on corporate management matters for clients.
Essential qualifications and experience:
* Minimum of five years' U.S. Real Estate practice experience at a top tier law firm.
* Prior experience as a Knowledge Management Attorney preferred but not required.
* Admitted to the New York bar and in good standing.
* Strong drafting and research skills as well as organizational skills.
* Strong project management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong academic credentials.
* High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and legal technology tools.
