Family Solicitor - Associate An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Family Lawyer to join a highly regarded Family Law team at a regional, Legal 500-recognised law firm. The successful candidate will be based in Cambridge, with some travel and out-of-hours working required for business development, meetings, and training. Key Responsibilities: Work closely with the department Partners to manage a diverse caseload encompassing all aspects of family law, including high net worth financial remedy negotiations and proceedings, Children Act cases, and preventative legal work. Handle international law cases, injunctive proceedings, and TOLATA matters. Specialisation in any of these areas is encouraged. Actively contribute to business development, identifying new opportunities and supporting the team's profile. Take responsibility for individual targets and deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision. Foster strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction. Comply with internal quality procedures and management systems. Deliver work in a commercially efficient manner. Depending on PQE, provide support and supervision to junior team members. Continuously develop both technical and non-technical skills to meet client and firm needs, demonstrating ongoing improvement in all areas of work. Skills and Experience: Relevant professional qualification. Extensive experience in family law, including pre-nuptial agreements, divorce, high net worth financial remedy proceedings, Children Act proceedings, international law, TOLATA matters, and injunctive relief. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, at all levels. A proactive, career-driven approach with a passion for family law. Proven track record in business development, supporting firm-wide growth. Proficient in using case management systems and Microsoft Office applications. A collaborative team player with a hands-on, motivational approach. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
