Litigation/Contentious Trust and Probate Solicitor | L500 Regional Practice About the Role A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Associate or Senior Associate to join a leading law firm's Litigation team. This role offers the chance to advance your career, focusing on contentious trust and probate matters. You will be based in one of the firm's offices in Cambridge, Hertfordshire or Essex. Key Responsibilities: Assisting senior lawyers with complex, high-value contentious trust and probate cases. Providing clients with proactive, high-quality legal advice under appropriate supervision. Managing client files, including drafting contracts, reviewing titles, and preparing detailed reports on initial documents. Undertaking and reporting on searches, such as local searches and index map searches. Managing the exchange of contracts and advising clients throughout the process. About you: A qualified solicitor (England and Wales) with 3+ years PQE in litigation, with a specific focus on contentious trust and probate matters. Proven experience handling contentious trust and probate disputes, including: Challenges to the validity of wills (e.g., undue influence, lack of capacity, improper execution). Claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975. Executor and trustee disputes. Disputes over the interpretation or administration of trusts.
