About the Private Client Team: The Private Client team is one of the firm's key practice areas, renowned for its expertise and long-standing reputation in the field. Ranked in The Legal 500 for Personal Tax, Trusts, and Probate, the team provides high-quality advice to a wide range of clients, including those who are older or vulnerable. The team includes highly experienced partners and solicitors, and the firm is looking to expand its capacity to meet growing demand for specialised advice in this area. About the Role: This opportunity is ideal for a Private Client Solicitor with 3-9 years PQE, looking to take the next step in their career. You will handle a wide range of Private Client matters, with a particular focus on Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection work, and building fee income in the older and vulnerable client space. Key Responsibilities: Managing Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection work, including Deputyship applications Advising clients on entitlements within the benefits system and how to protect those entitlements Handling the preparation of Wills and Trusts, and advising on Inheritance Tax and estate planning Administering estates through all stages of the process Developing strong relationships with clients and key referrers within the community In addition to the legal responsibilities, you will be actively involved in business development initiatives. Working closely with senior team members, you'll contribute to strategies for attracting new clients, including networking, attending seminars, writing articles, and engaging with the wider community. What We're Looking For: A Private Client Solicitor with 3-9 years PQE and a solid background in handling Wills, Trusts, Estate Administration, and Inheritance Tax matters A keen interest in specialising in older and vulnerable client matters Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage with clients and referrers A proactive, business development-focused approach to generating new work Ambition to grow within the firm and take on increasing responsibilities Why This Role?
