Commercial Litigator - Procurement Disputes (Senior Associate / Principal Associate) The Firm: A leading national law firm is looking for an experienced commercial litigator to join their growing team in Cambridge, specialising in procurement disputes. This is an exciting opportunity to work with high-profile public sector clients, including government bodies, utilities, NHS organisations, and suppliers. The position is open to candidates at the Senior Associate or Principal Associate level, depending on experience. Role Overview: As a key member of the commercial disputes team, you will handle a wide range of complex procurement disputes. You will provide strategic legal advice and manage contentious matters across various sectors, including public procurement law. The role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with senior lawyers and to supervise junior lawyers within the team. In addition to contentious work, you will work alongside clients on practical and commercially-focused solutions in public procurement law. The firm's flexibility with office attendance-requiring only 50% office presence per fortnight-gives you the ability to manage your workload with a good balance of in-office collaboration and remote working. Key Responsibilities: Managing complex procurement disputes and providing contentious advisory support. Advising public sector clients, including government bodies, utilities, NHS organisations, and suppliers. Collaborating with senior team members and supervising junior lawyers. Developing and maintaining strong client relationships. Supporting business development efforts to help grow the practice. Key Requirements: A minimum of 5 years' PQE in commercial litigation, specialising in procurement disputes. Proven experience managing high-level procurement disputes and contentious advisory matters. Strong leadership abilities, with experience in supervising junior lawyers.
