Real Estate - Shared Ownership Solicitor
BCL Legal are working with a dynamic and growing firm, seeking a Solicitor to join their thriving New Build and Shared Ownership Department in Essex.
The Role
As part of this fast-paced team, you will be responsible for handling new build and shared ownership transactions. You will liaise daily with clients and referrers, managing their files efficiently. Working closely with the Head of the New Build and Shared Ownership Division, you will receive valuable support to help you progress in the role. You will also collaborate with other fee earners to ensure smooth operation of the department.
Day-to-day Responsibilities:
Drafting and approving documents, including contracts, transfers, and ancillary paperwork
Managing Shared Ownership re-sales (sale and purchase), stair-casing (interim and final), and re-mortgages
Overseeing financial arrangements related to property acquisitions, including mortgage arrangements and gifts for buyers/lenders
Creating and maintaining correspondence and document files in line with firm and regulatory standards
Building and maintaining relationships with clients and professional contacts
Promoting the team and its services
Experience Required:
The ideal candidate will be qualified as a Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or Legal Executive, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in Conveyancing, preferably including Shared Ownership transactions. Experience with New Build properties would be beneficial, though not essential. You should be confident in managing a busy caseload.
