Commercial Litigation Solicitor - Essex BCL Legal are working with a growing UK Top 200 leading law firm who are seeking a Litigation Solicitor to join their dynamic team for their office in Essex. The Role: You will join a highly respected Dispute Resolution and Litigation team, known for handling a wide range of complex matters involving multiple issues. The team provides bespoke solutions for a diverse client base, including large corporate clients, smaller businesses, entrepreneurs, schools, and individuals. As part of this team, you will have the opportunity to work on high-value and high-volume cases, covering areas such as contractual disputes, director and shareholder conflicts, professional negligence, insolvency, contentious property issues, education law, and regulatory defence. Key Responsibilities: Manage your own caseload, with a particular focus on Insolvency, handling both Claimant and Defendant matters. Provide high-quality, proactive legal advice tailored to clients' specific needs. Assist senior lawyers with their caseloads, whilst developing and managing your own portfolio of clients. Work on a variety of contentious matters, including insolvency disputes, professional negligence, and construction-related issues. Provide cost-effective solutions and manage files efficiently. Work closely with clients to understand their objectives, offering advice on dispute resolution strategies, including ADR and litigation processes. Regularly liaise with experts and Counsel to support case strategies. Maintain regular billing and ensure client files are up to date. Contribute to the department's marketing initiatives by attending networking events, participating in seminars, and assisting in the development of marketing materials. About You: A strong background in Dispute Resolution & Litigation - 2years PQE+ Excellent legal research and drafting skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach. The ability to work independently, manage a caseload, and liaise effectively with clients and colleagues. A desire to contribute to the firm's growth and to develop a professional reputation within the local community and wider legal sector. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
