Principle Associate Banking Solicitor | Large national firm | Cambridge BCL Legal are seeking an ambitious and experienced banking solicitor for their client, a national and award-winning law firm, for their office in Cambridge. The Team: The national banking and finance team assists a great mix of clients to include; - Lenders and specialist financiers - Institutional investors - Credit providers - Major corporate companies - Charities and public bodies. The role: Working within this innovative and forward thinking banking team the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of finance work including acquisition finance, asset-based lending, corporate banking, not-for-profit finance and real estate finance. You will work closely with the corporate banking partners and your responsibilities will include: - Advising banks, lenders, fund managers and other corporate and institutional clients (both borrowers and lenders) on all aspects of finance and security issues. - Sectors covered will include asset-based lending, leveraged finance, corporate lending and borrowing, real estate finance, Government finance and bonds and capital markets. - Support work for the corporate team on funding issues in capital markets, mergers and acquisitions work, as well as work for the commercial and real estate departments on funding issues in M&A work, portfolio property re-finances and more. - Drafting and preparation of various documents required within the transaction processes. - Being actively involved in assisting with marketing to new and existing clients and responsible for developing and sustaining relationships directly with clients The successful candidate will also play an active role in new and existing client development.
