DEBT RECOVERY SOLICITOR - NEWCASTLE An exceptional role has emerged for a dedicated and proactive Solicitor with 1-5 years PQE in debt recovery or general litigation to join a highly esteemed Debt Team in Newcastle. Your primary focus will be working on intricate debt disputes and defended cases, conducting advanced negotiations with opponents and their representatives, and assisting in client negotiations. The role also involves developing new and existing client business, maintaining high standards of client delivery, and demonstrating strong commercial acumen. Your main responsibilities will include: - Handling complex debt disputes and defended caseloads originating from Newcastle and Leeds. - Conducting advanced negotiations with opponents and their representatives. - Drafting non-standard court documents and correspondence. - Assisting in negotiations with clients and other professionals to achieve agreed objectives. - Attending meetings and negotiations with clients and third parties. - Providing legal services in line with the Firm's standards and SRA requirements. - Preparing engagement documents. - Managing complaints effectively. The successful candidate will have: - A sound understanding of the debt market and experience in a debt recovery/civil litigation team - Self-motivation and a keen eye for detail. - Familiarity with the regulatory and compliance framework governing debt practitioners. - Strong commercial acumen and client-focused approach.
