The Role:
This is a rare opportunity for an Employment Lawyer to join a close-knit in-house employment law team in Surrey.
You can expect to gain exposure to a genuinely varied workload of high quality contentious & non-contentious matters, including disciplinary & grievances, policies, M&A support, commercial matters, and supporting other legal teams (such as on ESG). You can expect to be working on valuable matters with a highly skilled workforce.
You will also be responsible for your own business areas, giving you responsibility and the opportunity to build relationships with key senior stakeholders.
This is a varied role offering complex, intellectually stimulating work, significant opportunities for development, and genuine flexibility.
This opportunity would suit you if you are a lawyer in private practice looking for your first in-house legal counsel role. Alternatively, you might be an existing legal counsel looking to join a growing, global business at the forefront of innovation in its sector.
About you:
· This role is open to applications from Employment Lawyers between 4 - 10 years PQE
· Have a primarily respondent/employer focused background
· Experience of contentious & non-contentious matters
· Be a commercially aware individual and be comfortable building relationships at all levels
· Must be UK qualified
What's on offer?
Salary: circa £80 - 95k + bonus + car allowance
Flexibility: hybrid working, typically 2 days in the office.
