Are you an ambitious paralegal with a keen interest in pensions law and a desire to build a long-term career in a leading private practice? A highly regarded UK law firm is seeking a paralegal to join its highly ranked Employment, Pensions and Immigration team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside a recognised Partner with almost 30 years experience in the pensions legal market. You'll gain invaluable exposure to complex and varied work in a collaborative and forward-thinking team.
About the Role
You will provide direct support to the firm's lead pensions Partner, working with a diverse client base, including trustees, employers, and trade unions to include -
Supporting the delivery of high-quality legal advice on occupational pensions, scheme restructuring, mergers, and member disputes.
Assisting in the preparation of legal documentation, including governing documents and written client advice.
Managing file administration and ensuring compliance with SRA and internal procedures.
Engaging in legal research, document drafting, and case management across a wide variety of pensions matters.
Contributing to litigation support in complex pensions disputes including rectification and professional negligence claims.
Working closely with internal departments on pensions-related matters in cross-functional cases.
As you develop in the role, you will be offered the opportunity to take on more client-facing responsibilities and gradually manage your own caseload under appropriate supervision.
Requirements
This position is ideal for a bright and motivated individual in the early stages of their legal career, with an interest in pensions or employment law.
Prior exposure to pensions, employee benefits, or employment law-whether in private practice or through a trade union background-is highly desirable.
