The Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Associate Solicitor to join the firm's highly regarded commercial team. This role offers the chance to work on a variety of high-value and complex commercial matters for an impressive portfolio of clients, including businesses, public sector bodies, and individuals. As an Associate Solicitor, you will be involved in advising on a wide range of commercial contracts, corporate transactions, intellectual property, technology, and data protection issues. You will work closely with senior partners and have exposure to key clients, enabling you to develop your skills in a supportive yet challenging environment. Key Responsibilities: * Advising clients on a range of commercial contracts and agreements, including NDAs, supply agreements, and distribution contracts. * Providing guidance on corporate governance, intellectual property, and data protection issues. * Supporting clients with mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other corporate transactions. * Managing your own caseload while assisting senior solicitors on more complex matters. * Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts. * Building and maintaining strong client relationships, providing exceptional service and advice. * Participating in business development activities, including networking, client pitches, and marketing initiatives. The Candidate: To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified solicitor with a strong background in commercial law. You will be expected to demonstrate excellent technical knowledge, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Essential Requirements: * A qualified solicitor with a minimum of 3 years' PQE in commercial law. * Experience working on a broad range of commercial matters, including contracts, corporate transactions, and IP. * A strong client-focused approach and excellent communication skills. * Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. * Strong organisational and time management skills. Desirable: * Experience in a leading law firm or in-house legal department. * Knowledge of technology law or data protection matters would be advantageous. * A proactive approach to business development.
