Corporate Senior Associate
About the Firm
We are working with a prestigious global offshore law firm, renowned for its expertise in corporate, finance, and funds law. The firm is a market leader in the Channel Islands, offering international clients a wide range of legal services across multiple jurisdictions. Due to continued growth, the firm is looking for an experienced Corporate Senior Associate (5+ PQE) to join their Guernsey office and become an integral part of their high-performing corporate team.
The Role;
As a Senior Associate in the corporate department, you will be responsible for advising an international client base on a broad range of high-value and complex corporate transactions. This includes mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructuring, private equity, and capital markets transactions. You will be working closely with partners and leading a team of talented associates, while also playing a key role in client relationship management and business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities;
Handling complex corporate transactions, including M&A, IPOs, and restructuring projects
Providing expert advice to clients on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and company law
Leading and mentoring junior team members, ensuring high standards of client service and legal advice
Managing and developing relationships with international clients, including financial institutions, multinationals, and private equity firms
Assisting partners with business development and contributing to the firm's growth strategy
What We're Looking For;
Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with 5+ years of post-qualification experience in corporate law
Strong background in handling complex corporate transactions and advising high-level clients
Experience working within a leading law firm, preferably with exposure to offshore or cross-border transactions
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a commercial mindset
Ambitious, proactive, and a team player, with a desire to progress within a leading international firm
