Funds Senior Counsel We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Funds lawyer to join an esteemed legal team in Jersey. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in investment funds law and provide expert legal advice to our diverse client base, which includes private equity firms, hedge funds, and other investment vehicles. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on sophisticated and high-profile transactions in a vibrant and dynamic legal environment. Key Responsibilities: Legal Advisory: Provide expert legal advice on all aspects of investment funds, including fund formation, structuring, regulation, and ongoing operational matters. Documentation: Draft, review, and negotiate complex fund documentation, including offering memoranda, partnership agreements, subscription agreements, and side letters. Regulatory Compliance: Advise clients on regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with relevant local and international regulations affecting investment funds. Transaction Management: Lead and manage large-scale fund transactions, coordinating with various stakeholders and ensuring timely and successful deal closures. Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored legal solutions. Business Development: Participate in business development activities, including networking, attending industry events, and contributing to thought leadership initiatives. Mentorship and Training: Provide mentorship and training to junior associates, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment. Qualifications: Experience: Ideally gained in a reputable law firm or in-house legal department, with a focus on investment funds. Technical Skills: Deep understanding of investment fund structures, regulatory frameworks, and market practices. Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and transaction management. Soft Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
