THE OPPORTUNITY As part of this role you will be responsible for: - advising on IP transactions, such as licensing, assignments and franchising - giving advice on structuring IP ownership - acting for clients such as John Lewis, Virgin, Waitrose and Yeo Valley - working on R&D, collaboration agreements (both academic and private sector) and joint ventures - conducting intellectual property audits - providing support for broader transactions THE CANDIDATE What you'll need to be considered for this position: - Have at least 4 years experience working on non-contentious/transactional Intellectual Property matters - Be a strong team player, with excellent interpersonal skills - Able to manage a complex and varied workload effectively - Be self-motivated and willing to learn - Experience of leading others to develop their skills and knowledge - Must be a SRA or Law Society of Scotland registered lawyer This role would suit a lawyer wishing to further their career in a practice that will provide a varied range of high profile IP work.
