IP Lawyer

A leading international firm in Bristol is looking to add to their team of non-contentious Intellectual Property Lawyers who have extensive experience advising on the development and exploitation of IP and IP in contracts. As part of this team you will specialise in high-quality work, working for both commercial and public sector clients.
The team are consistently ranked top tier by the L500 and Chambers and Partners and have built a reputation for advising on complex legal matters and thrive on high profile and groundbreaking projects.
THE OPPORTUNITY
As part of this role you will be responsible for:
- advising on IP transactions, such as licensing, assignments and franchising
- giving advice on structuring IP ownership
- acting for clients such as John Lewis, Virgin, Waitrose and Yeo Valley
- working on R&D, collaboration agreements (both academic and private sector) and joint ventures
- conducting intellectual property audits
- providing support for broader transactions
THE CANDIDATE
What you'll need to be considered for this position:
- Have at least 4 years experience working on non-contentious/transactional Intellectual Property matters
- Be a strong team player, with excellent interpersonal skills
- Able to manage a complex and varied workload effectively
- Be self-motivated and willing to learn
- Experience of leading others to develop their skills and knowledge
- Must be a SRA or Law Society of Scotland registered lawyer
