Interim Compliance Lawyer 3-6 months - B'ham - starts asap

Are you available for a 3-6 month contract? It could go longer or but for now the requirement is 3-6 months. This is an opportunity to work with a GC, helping to build 'fit for business' legal & compliance policies, as well as advising on more general commercial law matters e.g. drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts. The working environment is described as "a really exciting place to be with passionate people and a strong brand". The business is in rapid growth stage and are seeking a lawyer to help with the design and implementation of sophisticated legal & compliance policies to ensure the business is protected from risk. Ideally you will be: · Pragmatic, experienced lawyer from a commercial area of law, ideally regulatory / compliance background, but it could easily be commercial, corporate or commercial litigation - what is key is that you are a strategic thinker and have a can do attitude. · Comfortable dealing with senior management directly. · Strong communication skills and experience building strong relationships in an in house environment. · Able to work in a fast paced environment. · Able to commit to some office time in the Birmingham office. · Available ASAP and not on a long notice period.
