Lead Commercial Lawyer - Services Business - 95% remote , West Midlands Our client is a market leading services provider which has an ethos that is all about improving local communities through its high tech services. The business is growing and they are looking for an experienced commercial lawyer with a minimum of 7 years PQE to take on a broad and varied role where you will be the lead commercial lawyer, with great further progression opportunities on offer. Reporting into the General Counsel, you will be responsible for: · Leading on core commercial 'business as usual' contracts with customers and suppliers, which include contracting on public procurement frameworks; · Leading from a legal perspective on bids and tenders; · Deputising for the General Counsel and delivering general legal and compliance advice to the business; · Managing and building relationships with key decision makers in the business; · Managing and supervising more junior members in the legal team; and · Managing external lawyers. This opportunity is appropriate for an in-house lawyer or private practice lawyer who is seeking a genuine step up in responsibilities and exposure. You will gain fantastic exposure to the senior leadership and executive team and have the ability to truly impact and influence. Due to the nature of the contracts, you will have some experience of public procurement framework contracting. The business is working on a mainly remote basis 95% of the time, meaning just 2 days per month is required in the West Midlands office. This is a full time role and the package includes a base salary reflective of the seniority of the role, plus bonus, pension, private medical, life insurance and 25 days holiday plus bank.
