Head of Conveyancing- Reading A high performing full service Legal 500 law firm is recruiting an experienced conveyancer to head its team based in Reading. THE FIRM The firm is a market leader in the conveyancing sector and is based in a stunning, central Reading office with great transport links to the surrounds. It prides itself on working closely with its clients to offer a service which encompasses both technical expertise and an efficient service. OPPORTUNITY The firm are looking for an experienced Conveyancer to lead this thriving team. · Practically run the day to day management of the Conveyancing Department. · Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in line with the company's objectives. · Sign off all client identity checks, CQS1 and CQS 2 where manager approval is required. · Review staff performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement by way of MI reports. · Ensure delivery of existing KPI's and SLA's. · Review and implement staff incentives. · Assist Group Managing Director with any other duties as required. · Monitor and comply with third party obligations and requirements. Experience · Minimum 5 years' experience in the conveyancing sector is essential · Demonstrable experience in freehold, leasehold, shared ownership/equity, registered/unregistered properties, Sale and Purchase, Transfer of Equity, remortgage & refinancing · Previous experience in performance management, process management analysis and decision making would be desirable. · Previous leadership experience would be advantageous Technical Skills / Qualifications · Competent knowledge, use of, and skills in Microsoft Office including MS-Word, MS-Outlook, MS-Teams and MS-Excel · Good keyboard / IT / Case Management / Internet and Email skills · Competent knowledge of Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Code of Conduct; SRA Accounts rules; and Fraud and Financial Crime, Anti-Money Laundering, Counter Bribery and Corruption, and Sanctions regimes and associated legislation and regulatory frameworks BENEFITS This firm offers a competitive salary Bonus scheme Market leading benefits package Flexibility around childcare/commitments Enhanced maternity/paternity leave Clear progression pathways BCL Legal is an equal opportunities employer.
