Solicitor (2-5 years PQE) - Neurotrauma Team FULLY REMOTE - Ideally Yorkshire Based We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Solicitor with 1 to 5 years PQE to join a expanding Neurotrauma team within a award-winning Claimant Personal Injury department. This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to work with clients nationwide on complex brain and spinal cord injury cases. About the Team: The Neurotrauma team is committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for their clients. They work in close partnership with clients, fellow professionals, and support networks to help clients adapt to life-changing injuries. Early and effective rehabilitation is a priority for them, and they strive to secure the necessary funding promptly to enable our clients to lead independent and fulfilling lives. Key Responsibilities: - Handle neurotrauma injury claims independently and as part of a team, including both pre-litigation and litigated cases. - Collaborate with case managers and rehabilitation providers. - Conduct liability and quantum investigations, including medical, therapy, employment, and case management reviews, obtaining expert evidence, and drafting Schedules of Loss. - Adopt a proactive approach to achieve the best outcomes for clients. - Promote the firm and the Neurotrauma team by attending events, fostering positive relationships with potential referrers, and supporting business development. - Provide exceptional client experiences. - Manage court hearings and applications. Requirements: - Experience with complex and high-value personal injury claims, specifically brain and spinal cord injury cases. - Detailed knowledge of the CPR and familiarity with medical issues relevant to serious neurological injury claims. - Proficiency in relevant case law and complex quantum calculations. - Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with professional intermediaries and an established network within the neurotrauma field. - Competence in advocacy and participation in client events and external relationship building. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage expectations across a variety of tasks. -Willingness to occasionally work outside core hours, despite our strong work-life balance ethos. Location: This is a remote working role for candidates based in the Yorkshire area, supporting clients locally and nationally. Occasional travel to their Newcastle office is expected.
