You'll manage your own caseload while overseeing our vibrant Residential Conveyancing Department, home to over 15 talented Fee Earners across our 8 offices. Key Responsibilities: Management: Recruitment and interviewing Ensuring compliance and currency of precedents Reviewing, implementing, and streamlining processes and policies Managing the Lender Panels and CQS Annual renewal Serving as the Senior Responsible Officer for CQS accreditation Collaborating with HR on employee matters Facilitating and arranging training sessions and webinars Managing work distribution for new and departing staff Providing support to fee earners across offices Ensuring exemplary client service and accurate advice Promoting an inclusive culture within the department Compliance: Conducting quarterly departmental meetings Supervising up to 3 individuals with performance reviews Reviewing departmental supervision reviews Attending biannual HOD meetings Reviewing high-risk matters Client Work: Producing standard contract documentation with precision Handling enquiries Managing exchanges, completions, and post-completion work Meeting financial targets and objectives Staying abreast of legal changes and practices Utilizing company systems and workflows effectively Exercising financial control with billing and cash flow procedures Maintaining accurate daily records of time spent Promoting the firm and fostering new business opportunities Performing fee-earning work with reliability and adherence to quality standards Marketing: Attending and promoting marketing events Collaborating with the Marketing Department Coordinating cross-referrals with other department heads
