Finance Manager

About the Role: In this pivotal position, you will work closely with our directors and shareholders, taking ownership of the finance function. You'll be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasting, balance sheet reconciliations, and ensuring timely HMRC submissions, including VAT returns. You'll also manage relationships with advisors. Key Responsibilities: * Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts for several entities * Ensure accuracy in financial reporting by examining data for discrepancies and implementing robust processes * Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts * Prepare and analyse cash flow forecasts to optimize working capital * Oversee the preparation and submission of VAT returns and R&D claims documentation. * Collaborate with accountants during year-end to produce schedules and resolve queries. * Manage monthly salaried payroll and report on covenants related to our Invoice Discount Facility What We're Looking For: * A professionally qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with relevant experience. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels. * A strong team motivator, driven to achieve business goals while providing necessary challenges to maintain financial controls. * Highly numerate with advanced IT and financial analysis skills, able to interpret data effectively. * Experience in an SME environment is highly desirable. * A resilient, self-confident individual who thrives in a fast-paced setting, with the ability to work independently.
