The national Banking & Finance team largely deal with complex and cutting edge banking work, both domestic and international and has a strong track record for acting on groundbreaking transactions. There is a high quality client base covering a broad spectrum of the UK market, including clearing banks, challenger banks, alternative lenders, debt funds, international banks and asset based lenders, together with other corporate and institutional clients. This is a really exciting time to join the team in Leeds, following continued growth across all offices.
Key Responsibilities of the role will include:
· Advising banks, alternative lenders, funds and other corporate and institutional clients (both borrowers and lenders) on a range financing transactions.
· Working closely with the Partner and wider national team on corporate banking, asset based lending, leveraged finance, real estate finance, government finance and debt capital markets transactions.
· Supporting the corporate and real estate teams on the financing aspects of private equity deals, mergers and acquisitions, property development and investment financings and more.
· Being actively involved in participating in business development and taking responsibility for developing and maintaining relationships directly with clients.
ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:
· Qualified Solicitor with 1+ years' PQE.
· Experience gained within a similar sized practice i.e. national.
· Ideally experience of working collaboratively in a national, cross-office team.
· Excellent communication, organisational and client care skills.
· Ability to build strong working relationships with existing and potential clients.
· The drive to contribute to a growing practice.
· A strong commercial acumen.
