The Construction team cover the whole spectrum of contentious and non-contentious matters including commercial property development and construction, specialist civil engineering contracts, process plant engineering contracts, retail and shopping centre development, hotel and leisure facility procurement, renewable energy projects, litigation, arbitration and expert determination, mediation and ADR. The remit of this role is wide, which presents an unparalleled opportunity for a newly-qualified construction solicitor to develop your skillset across a broad range of high-quality contentious and non-contentious matters. ABOUT YOU The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes: · Qualified Solicitor, ideally at NQ level with a seat in construction during your training contract, or prior paralegal experience in either contentious or non-contentious. · Experience in both contentious and non-contentious construction will be advantageous, although candidates with experience in one area will also be considered, providing they are keen to undertake work in both. · A clear understanding of issues arising in the construction industry and the drive for continuous development. · The ability to work collaboratively in a collegiate team, as well as with colleagues in other practice areas. · A willingness to participate in business development. · Clear communication skills, both written and verbally. · A practical and commercial approach to working.
