Residential Development Associate | 3-5 years' PQE | Leeds with hybrid working
A leading international firm seeks an experienced solicitor specialising in Residential Development work to join their highly regarded national team, based in their Leeds office.
THE OPPORTUNITY
As one of the largest real estate teams in the country, the team act for all of the UK's leading housebuilders, as well as many specialist developers and housing associations. The team has an outstanding track-record for success which speaks for itself.
You will work as part of the National Team on a broad range of projects. The work is interesting and varied, including all aspects of brownfield site regeneration schemes, mixed use, urban extensions, the purchase and development of strategic land, joint ventures and collaborations and the development and disposals of new housing neighbourhoods.
Key Responsibilities include:
· Assisting the National Team on a wide range of projects varying in scale and complexity.
· Drafting and negotiating contracts dealing with all aspects of acquisition, development and disposals.
· Carrying out and supervising due diligence and reporting.
· Providing clients with focused legal advice with an appreciation of clients' commercial objectives.
· Reporting to clients, communicating directly with them and building relationships.
· Involvement in business development and assistance with client management.
· Assisting with writing articles and client updates.
ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:
· Qualified Solicitor, with at least 3 years' PQE.
· Exceptional technical skills and an ability to understand and work through complex issues.
· Strong educational background, including at least a 2:1 in a Law-related degree.
· A confident communicator with an ability to develop relationships with clients and colleagues.
· A methodical approach to handling a variety of Real Estate matters simultaneously.
· A team player and a collegiate approach to working.
