Banking & Finance Associate | NQ+ | Leeds with hybrid working A leading national firm is looking to welcome an Associate to their top-ranking team based in Leeds. THE OPPORTUNITY This is a UK Top 50 law firm with an excellent reputation that extends nationally and internationally. The national banking team is fast-growing and collegiate with an outstanding client base comprising some of the UK's major banks, alternative lenders and financial institutions and has approved panel status with many of them. The team advises clients on a range of financing transactions across a wide variety of sectors, often with a multi-jurisdictional element. The team has significant expertise across corporate lending, leverage finance, venture debt, asset finance and real estate finance (both investment and development), both on a bilateral and a syndicated basis. You will work closely with local partners as well as the wider national team and will be involved with a wide range of high value transactions varying in scale and complexity. There will be a focus on leveraged finance, corporate lending and venture debt with the opportunity to work on real estate finance and asset based lending if you wish to do so. ABOUT YOU The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes: · Qualified Solicitor, NQ level upwards. · A seat of your training contract or the early part of your career will have been spent in banking and finance. · Experience liaising with borrowers, lenders and investors on the full transaction lifecycle. · Confident reviewing conditions precedent and drafting security documents. · A clear communicator with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues. · A strong commercial acumen. OTHER INFORMATION · Competitive salary c.£60k upwards depending on experience. · Hybrid working, usually 2 days in the office per week. · Significant opportunity for further progression.
