Employment Associate NQ upwards - Leeds An exciting opportunity has arisen for a newly-qualified employment solicitor to join a leading national firm, based in their Leeds office. This is a great opportunity to develop your post-qualified experience in a highly regarded national team with a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious work. THE OPPORTUNITY This is a UK Top 40 firm with an excellent reputation across all practice areas. The Employment team work nationally cross-office, giving you the opportunity to work with a range of colleagues and clients. There is also a significant presence in Leeds and you will work closely with Partners with strong recognition in all major legal directories. The team act mostly for employers and have an enviable client base, many of which are household names. This role is wide-reaching, spanning a broad mix of contentious work to include unfair dismissal, discrimination, breach of contract, TUPE and all/any other complaints employees may bring. The team also provide support on matters ranging from day-to-day employee relations issues to large-scale strategic change projects, as well as business planning and strategy advice to clients in respect of issues including executive severance, restructuring/redundancy and TUPE. The breadth of this role brings an unparalleled opportunity for professional development and you will have exposure to key clients from the outset. ABOUT YOU · Qualified Solicitor - NQ level upwards. · Experience gained in an established respondent-facing employment team. · Ideally experience of tribunal litigation and advisory work. · The ability to work on your own initiative but with the support of a collegiate team. · The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues. · A strong commercial acumen.
