3rd - 7th year M&A / Private Equity Associate

A top-tier law firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join its M&A and Private Equity Group in New York. This role focuses on special situations and hybrid capital transactions, including distressed M&A, preferred equity investments, and structured and restructuring transactions. Key Responsibilities: * Advising clients on complex M&A and private equity transactions involving distressed assets and hybrid capital. * Collaborating across the firm's M&A/PE, restructuring, and finance practices to deliver innovative solutions. * Drafting and negotiating transaction documents and managing deal execution. * Staying abreast of market trends and regulatory developments in special situations and restructuring transactions. Key Qualifications: * A minimum of four years of relevant experience in M&A, private equity, restructuring, or finance. * Strong interest and expertise in distressed M&A, preferred equity investments, and structured transactions. * Qualification to practice law in New York. * Excellent analytical, communication, and team collaboration skills.
