Position Overview: The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in M&A, both in public and private transactions, and have the expertise to guide clients through complex deals, defend against takeovers, and manage all phases of the transaction process. This role requires a deep understanding of corporate law, exceptional deal management capabilities, and the ability to independently lead negotiations and advise on strategic matters.
Responsibilities:
* Manage and execute high-value M&A transactions for both public and private companies.
* Provide strategic guidance to clients on takeovers, mergers, and acquisitions across multiple industries.
* Draft, negotiate, and review complex transactional documents and agreements.
* Collaborate closely with clients, partners, and teams, ensuring timely and successful transaction completion.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of corporate law, regulatory requirements, and market trends to provide innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
* Juris Doctor (JD) from a top-tier law school with an outstanding academic record.
* Extensive experience in M&A within a major U.S. law firm, including direct deal management responsibility.
* Comprehensive understanding of corporate law principles and the M&A lifecycle.
* Proven ability to work independently and lead client engagements.
* Admission to the New York, Boston, or Chicago bar, with eligibility to practice in New York.
